• We collect the membership details you give us, and nothing more.
• We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
• We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
• You can see, change, or ask us to delete your information at any time.

When you join or manage your membership, we collect:

• Account details — your email address and a password (used to sign you in).
• Membership details — your name, mailing address, phone number, chapter affiliation, membership category, and magazine-delivery preference.
• Payment details — when you pay dues online, your card is entered and processed by our payment provider (Authorize.net). We do not store your full card number on our own systems.
• Directory choices — whether you want to appear in the members-only directory, and which of your details (phone, email, address, apparatus) you choose to show.
• Record of changes — a history of updates to your membership record, so the membership office can keep accurate records.

• To create and manage your membership.
• To process your dues and record your payments.
• To send the magazine and membership communications according to your preferences.
• To show the details you have chosen to share in the members-only directory.
• To keep accurate records for the organization.

This site uses only the cookies that are strictly necessary to work — chiefly the secure cookie that keeps you signed in during your visit. These are set by us and are not used to track you across other websites.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or session-recording tools. No third-party tracking scripts run on this site.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site. They act on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes:

• Vercel — hosts the website and delivers its pages.
• Supabase — stores membership records and manages sign-in securely.
• Authorize.net (via PNC Bank) — processes card payments for dues.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers, and there is no advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.

You can, at any time:

• See and update your details — sign in and open My membership.
• Control the directory — choose whether you appear and what you show, on your account page. Nothing is shown to the public; the directory is visible only to signed-in members.
• Ask us to correct or delete your information — contact the membership office using the details below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We honor these requests for all members. To make a request, contact us below.

• All information is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• Access to member records is restricted to authorized officers.
• Card payments are handled by a PCI-compliant payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

We keep your membership information while you are a member and for as long as needed for the organization's records. You can ask us to remove your information at any time, subject to any records we are required to keep.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Anyone under 13 is prevented from signing up online. If a young person wants to join, a parent or guardian should contact the membership office and we will enrol them, so that a parent is always the one providing the information.

If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

We ask for a year of birth only, and only when someone applies for the Junior / Student membership, which has an age limit. We never ask for a full date of birth. The year is used to confirm eligibility and to let you know when it is time to move to an Individual membership. It is not used for anything else.

If we change what we collect or how we use it — for example, if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
