Most of what comes up while we move membership onto the new system is answered here. If yours is not, tell us and somebody will come back to you.

Payments

Which cards can I use?: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, including debit cards carrying those symbols.
Can I still pay by cheque?: Yes, and a good many members do. Paying online is quicker and the receipt is immediate, but nothing is being taken away.
I think I have been charged twice.: Tell us, with the date and the amount, and we will check it against the bank record the same week. If there is a duplicate we give it back; you do not have to chase it.
Is my card number stored on the SPAAMFAA website?: No. Card details go straight from your browser to our payment company and never touch SPAAMFAA's own systems. Nobody at SPAAMFAA can see your full card number, and nobody will ever telephone or email to ask for it.

Enjine!~Enjine! or the Silver Trumpet has not arrived.: Tell us, and check that the address on your details screen is right while you are there, since a wrong address is the usual cause. Back issues can be sent, and recent issues can be read on the website straight away.
How do I change between print and email?: You choose that when you renew. If you want it changed before then, tell us and we will do it for you.

I have never signed in before. How do I start?: You do not need a new membership. Go to Member sign-in, choose “Forgot your password”, and enter the email address SPAAMFAA has for you. A link arrives by email and you choose your own password. If no email arrives, we probably have an old address for you, so tell us and we will fix it.
I asked to reset my password and nothing arrived.: Check the spam or junk folder first, as the message comes from a new address this year. If it is not there, the address we hold for you is probably out of date or was never right. Tell us and we will look it up and correct it.
Which email address do you have for me?: We cannot show it on screen for safety reasons, but any officer can look it up. Tell us your name and roughly where you live and we will confirm it.

Who can see my address, telephone number and apparatus?: Only other signed-in members, and only if you have chosen to appear in the directory. You control that on your own details screen, and you can choose separately whether your telephone number, email address and postal address are shown. Your apparatus is controlled the same way and separately again, so you can be listed in the directory without your trucks being shown, or show your trucks while keeping your address private. Nothing is visible to the public.
My name is spelled wrong.: You can correct your own name, address, telephone and email on your details screen. If something will not save, tell us.

It says my membership has expired, but I paid.: This is the commonest thing to go wrong while records are moving across, and it is nearly always a record that has not caught up rather than a lost payment. Tell us roughly when you paid and how, and we will put it right. Do not pay again.
If I renew early, do I lose the months I have left?: No. The twelve months are added on top of whatever you already have, not counted from today. Renewing early never costs you time.
I am a life member. Do I need to do anything?: No. A life membership never expires and you will never be asked to renew or to pay again. If the site asks you to renew, that is a fault and we would like to know.
Can I belong to more than one chapter?: Yes. Add as many as apply on your own details screen, and remove any that no longer do.
